Information for Authors

What to Submit?
Materials submitted for publication in Reliable Computing may represent: Responses, amendments, and additions to published materials can be submitted as Letters to the Editor.

All papers should be in English.

Title page
The first page of the manuscript should contain the article title, author's name, current postal and email addresses, and, if necessary, a running head (condensed version of the title) which should not exceed 60 characters. There should be a brief abstract (no more than 12 lines long).

Figures can be either placed in the body of the text or supplied on separate sheets. In the latter case, the author should mark in the margin of the manuscript where the figures are to be inserted. For figures submitted as computer files, PostScript (preferably) as well as PCX or TIF formats are allowed.

References should be numbered and listed at the end of the article.
Reliable Computing prefers the submission of papers prepared in LaTeX. However, papers made in AMS-TeX, AMS-LaTeX, Plain TeX, as well as those prepared for conventional typesetting will also be accepted. The eventual supply of papers accepted for publication in their final LaTeX version by e-mail or on MS-DOS/Windows format diskettes together with a hardcopy version (in case anything needs to be checked) will ensure more rapid publication.

The Kluwer LaTeX style file can be obtained from the publisher:

The Netherlands
Fax: +31-78-639-2254

A guide to the Kluwer LaTeX style file is also available both in hard copy and in electronic form.

Using either the standard article.sty from LaTeX distribution or the publisher's style file is encouraged but not obligatory. If you use any non-standard style file, you should enclose it with the electronic version of the paper.
