Format for camera-ready copies
Papers should be typed (one column) in 12 point Times New Roman or Times Roman with an exact interlined of 16 points. Top, bottom, left side and right side margins should be of 2.5 cm. The maximum length allowed is 15 pages. It is very important to respect this maximum length, in order to assign corresponding number of pages to authors.
The paper must begin with a title, the name, affiliation, postal address and e-mail of all authors, centred over the full text.
The title must be set in 16 points boldface, with an extra line space below.
The authorís name should be set in 12 points boldface. No extra lines space below.
The affiliation, postal address and e-mail of all authors should be set in 10 points, with two extra lines space below.
The abstract for the paper should be set in 10 points and no more than 200 words long, describing the entire paper, centred over the full text size, with an extra line space below. The word abstract should be set in boldface and italics, followed by a full point. An extra left and right margins of 0.5 cm must be added.
A list of no more than 5 keywords must be supplied. The word keywords should be set in 10 points boldface and italics, followed by a double point. The kewords themselves in 10 points. Two extra lines space should be included below. An extra left and right margins of 0.5 cm must be added.
Avoid as much as possible the use of footnotes in the text. If they appear, they must be set in 9 points.
Running feet or footer of the page
The running feet details are the same for the left and right hand pages and should appear on all pages of each paper. The section title is set on the left hand side (ECAI 98 W7 Binding Environmental Sciences and AI), the page number is set in the middle, and the author's name is set on the right hand side. These details should be set in 8 point boldface, below the last line of the text, and at 2 cm of the end of the page.
Next days, the initial page number will be supplied to authors by the Workshop organisers, according to a final ordering of the accepted papers.
First level headings should be 12 points boldface, and 1 line above and below must be spaced. Typeset the heading in capital letters.
Second level headings should be 12 points boldface, and 1 line above and below must be spaced. Only first word must be in upper case style.
Third level headings should be 12 points italics, and 1 line above and below must be spaced. Only first word must be in upper case style.
Tables and figures
Tables and figures should contain a centered caption. A one line space should separate the caption from surrounding text. Captions should be 11 points.
Citations in the text should give the author(s) name and date such as [Aha, 1997], [Aamodt and Plaza, 1994], or [Poch et al., 1998]. A full reference list should appear at the end of the text and should follow the alphabetical name (see examples below). All authors names, title of the book or article, name of the journal, volume and number, page numbers if it is the case, and publisher and date should be given. These references should be set also in 12 points.
Since the second line of the reference, an extra identation in left side margin of 0.5 cm must be added.
